In my house today Charlie gets' braces. Weird. I remember when Fred's daughter got them and how young my baby was at the time and just how grown up I thought his kid was. Well now my girl is at that age and his daughter is a young women. Strange he and I don't seem any older, except when we look in the mirror.
Also in my house today one of the perks of being fired. I get to go to my youngest daughters school for an grade 3 breakfast slash come-participate-in-the-class activities. I never used to be able to make all of these, now I get to/have to go! It's one of those Dad things that is always good for the first 10-15 minutes and then drags on for an hour too long. Don't tell her that. The trick to Dad-hood is to act like it's the greatest thing in the world. In a lot of ways it is.
And finally in my house today, speaking of Dad's, my boxes arrive from Moose Jaw. Thanks to my buddy Thomas J Roberts of DHL all the stuff I took from my old house in the Jaw is being delivered to my place. It was odd packing it all up and shutting down 1047 Henry Street after 46 years and it will be equally odd having some of those things here. My two best things? My Dad's old chair and his golf clubs. I'm not sure if having things here to remind me of his passing will be a good thing or not...I'll let you know.

Howard: You and Fred should get together and have another Humble and Fred Christmas party. You both must have a lot of contacts who can arrange for a location. Word would get out quickly over both your websites, as well as having a few of your on-air buddies direct people to your sites. Imagine the number of books you would sell. Think of the networking possibilities, if you get people in the industry to help. Something to think about quickly.
