The story is that Ontario is going to spend nearly 200 million on a new screening program to cut back on colon and rectal cancer deaths.
Okay. Sounds good. What happens?
Apparently this involves do-it-yourself fecal occult kits that would then be taken to a lab and screened and then those patients at risk would be brought in for a thorougher look around.
No big deal. Just don't get pulled over on your way to the lab.
Cop: Hey pal whats in the bag?
Me : My poopy.
Cop: All right smart guy lets have a look. Wait a second, this is poop.
Me : I told you that and be careful it may be diseased.
I think this is a great idea. Men are very nervous about our own bum areas and don't like to poke around back there too much. Just get yourself checked out and avoid the bum cancer.
Although I've heard from friends that the whole colonoscopy thing isn't a day at the beach it sure beats the alternative.
