I woke up yesterday morning to The Bill Carroll Experience only to hear something about Giant Chunks of Ice raining down from the CN Tower. (Here-after referred to as GCI's)
"Am I high?" I thought.
"Is Bill high?" I also thought.
"What in the shit is going on" I pondered.
Okay, enough with the questions.
Because of the sideways rain/sleet/ice storm of Thursday afternoon, GCI's took up residence on the CN Tower and were falling off onto the innocent commuters below.
I know this is dangerous but damm GCI's are cool.
You know as long as no one gets hurt.
Bill Carroll said some GCI's were in 4 foot sheets and a couple of inches thick. Dude, that would make a mess of your car. Think about it.
Are you done.
Okay, the point is big things falling from the sky are no place for cars or people and that's why the Gardiner was/is shut down. I can't believe some folks were all pissed that they had to divert or walk around yellow police tape.
Hey buddy, ever had a tile or a book hit you on the noggin? Imagine what a GCI would do falling from 1800 feet. Not pretty.
Guy in Lexus on his blue tooth:"Hey a big chunk of ice is falling off the CN Tower!"
Guy in office talking to Guy in Lexus:"Your crapping me?"
Guy in Lexus:"Hey the big chunk of ice just that smashed into that Land Rover and blew it over the Gardiner. I'm no expert but it doesn't look good."
Listening to the Radio made me jealous that I wasn't reporting on the GTA-wide excitement of Giant Chunks of Ice. If I was still working for City Pulse I would have a thing or two to say.
(I never worked for City Pulse, but I did work at City. I didn't think it would have the same saying, ..."If if was still hosting Ed's Stupid Not-Funny Night Party."*)
*Not it's real name.
