I was busy the last couple of nights and missed The Idol Gives Back thing.
Is that wrong?
Should I feel bad that Idol gave back and I didn't?
Last night I was at a birthday dinner for my Sister-in-law, whose week long celebration is now rivaling Mardi Gras, and I saw a bit of it on a TV that was in the restaurant.
I caught a couple of images.
Ellen hosting with Ryan Seacrest. Why? Is Ryan not "Giving Back"-worthy?
I saw Bono talking to the contestants. Cool.
I saw Quincy Jones conducting the Idols in a song I heard he wrote. I couldn't hear the sound but he/they looked like they were having a nice time.
I saw Randy Jackson introducing something. Weird seeing him standing up.
Paula went to a Boys and Girls club and the kid seemed excited and then sort of uncomfortable.
Simon wore a jacket.
The Idols wore white.
No one was voted off.
There. That's like TV shorthand. I got all of that, which might have added up to 6 minutes over two hours, and I barely had to pay attention.
I also saved my family the aggravation of yelling at Paula. "What is she saying? What does that mean, "your you and your just up there and we love it:?" Is she high?"
