My last year in Radio I worked with a great group of people. Andy Wilson, Bingo Bob, Judy Croon, Curits, Leslie Kaz, Various Bizarrely Named Interns and Elliot Gordon.
When I'm asked if I miss being on the air I invariably answer, "No, I miss the people I was on the air with."
Elliot Gordon was a late addition to our band of mis-fits. He started with us as a contest winner and ended up being a big part of the show. Very funny dude, great singer/voice guy and an all around nice person.
He's also very bright. He got his Real Estate license while working with me just in case the whole "Show Bidness" thing didn't work out. Good move.
After I was fired he went on to work with Judy Croon and Mike Bullard.
Now that they've been fired he's selling condo's and touring as Polyp Man. Yes he dresses up like a giant polyp and performs for Internists and other Dr's at their conventions.
No joke.
He recently performed his Polyp Man thing on ice.
