Summer was here on the Weekend.

Holy crap what a difference 7 days makes.
Sunday April 15th. I'm outside from 3pm -7pm watching Charlie play soccer. My buddy Geoff and I are so cold we start to whimper like children. It's minus 10 easy with the wind chill and at one point I yell to the coaches, "Hey isn't that just about enough soccer for now? I can't feel my feet!"

Sunday April 22nd. I'm outside from 1:30 to 3:30 watching Charlie play soccer. My buddy Geoff is wearing shorts and chilling. I'm wearing jeans and I'm frying my ass off. I love this country!
It was 24 or so degrees yesterday and it was a great afternoon.

Apres soccer I spent 2 hours doing stuff including un-burlaping some Pine trees that I had burlaped in the Fall. I raked and swept and garbaged and then I had my first post-yard work beer of the new year and it was awesome! Seriously it was one of those beers where no other beverage could have been substituted for it. It was the first Summer Beer of the season and I loved it.
It's nice to think that we could be looking forward to the next 5 months of similar weather.
Of course this being Canada we might be shoveling snow again next weekend.
