Weekend Star.

Oh I can just imagine all the Right Wing Guys getting all "What does Al Gore know and where does he get off telling our Mr. Stephen Harper what is what with our emissions policy?. Harumph!"
RWG's like to harumph at people like Al Gore, not considering that he's been on this issue since before he invented the internet and is probably a little less politically invested than the Torys. Yes that may be naive but too bad.

Gore was in town doing his Inconvenient thing and The Star of course covered it cause it's the Star and that's what they do. I don't always agree with the paper I used to call The Czar, but I like Al Gore and the Sunday edition is my fav.logo_torontostar

Sunday's Star is a little more folksy and less bulky than the Saturday Star and has a little less "We know everything and if you don't agree with us your an Arse" sort of feel than the Monday-Friday edition.
I like the Sports. I like the Front page. I like the Ideas section.
In Ideas each week they have an item called 10 Things We Learned This Week!
Wow. That's a lot of things. I learned some cool stuff from my buddy Mike this week but I don't think my learnings the last 7 days added up to 10!

A couple of bits of New Info from the Star.

It is possible to make a cellphone call from the summit of Mount Everest (it is now in sight of a Chinese base station). Rod Baber is attempting to become the first person to do so. His expedition is being sponsored by Motorola. That just seems stupid. You've just accomplished this amazing thing and your like "Hey you'll never guess where I am!"

When crabs are stressed, their legs and claws fall off. Funny I once had crabs and got so stressed I though my claw was going to fall off.

"Divorce reduces a person's wealth by about three-quarters (77 per cent) compared to that of a single person... And people who get divorced see their wealth begin to drop long before the decree becomes final." This is why I'm staying married FOREVER!

Here's one thing I learned on my own this past week. My 12 and a half year old daughter Charlie, is now so embarrassed by Mom and Dad, not only does she not want to hang around with us anymore, she doesn't even want to be seen with us in our own house.

Oh boy, you and Freddie P must be at loggerheads over this!

I believe the soundbite will be "Can you hear me now?"
