The FutureShop nightmare continues.
Last week I wrote this.
Basically I ordered something from FS online and I'm not getting it. It's a long, bizarre tale involving an out-of-work comic/dj and a big, bloated corporation that has no interest in customer service.
If they did I wouldn't say they sucked ass.
Briefly heres' the deal.
Thursday and Friday of last week I spent more than an hour talking to FS customer service people who informed me that even though they couldn't find the item I ordered I wasn't allowed to get my money back before a trace claim was filed.
I don't give a crap I said. Hows about you just order me up a new item (Cool Garmin Street Pilot C330!) and when you nitwits locate my original item, keep it and I'll keep the new one you send me.
"NO Deal," Says FutureShop. That's not our policy. But if you'd like, you can order and pay for a new one and when we locate your original item we'll credit you in full.
"Suck me," Says I.(I'm paraphrasing.)
Why do I have to give you more money after you've already screwed this thing up in the first place.
Cut to today.
I get a nice call from Canada Post who tell me that they've traced the item, can't find it and are declaring it lost. They'll refund FutureShop. Super.
So I get back on the phone with this dip-shit organization and tell them the Canada Post info and they tell me if I want the item now I have to re-order it.
Squeeze me? I have to order it again. But I already ordered it you idiots. You can plainly see that.
So lets' review.
A)They screwed up.
B)I couldn't get my money back.
C)Now that they're declaring lost...
D)I get my money back and I have to order it again.
Am I high? Why am I working this hard for FutureShop?
Are they daring me to buy it somewhere else?
I have tried and tried to talk to someone in the organization about how ass-backwards this is but I keep being told it's "Our corporate online policy!"
That's quite a policy.
It's the "Customer's an Ass-Wipe and we don't care about them" policy.

In my job I deal with all the big stores and I fully agree, Future Shop is the most ass backwards company to deal with. Best Buy, who owns Future Shop, is already much better. I guess they figure, they can't loose either way. If a customer is totally pissed off with Future Shop then they will shop at Best Buy, thus the money still goes into the same piggy bank. That's what I call artificial competition.
From your past few entries I can sense that you are getting increasingly frustrated/bored with your present situation. After you come back from your various events and there is still NO ANNOUNCEMENT to make, I suggest to you to head up North to a place called Tikki Bar for some R&R. The owner of that place seems to be in a much more relaxed mood!!
Anyway, good luck with whatever you're after and like the other listeners I still miss you being back on the radio.

Hey hh, sadly they do this a lot, a lot!! Unfortunately not all of us have your forum so they get away with it, and we just continue to take it. There is no way to one up them cause as Bob said they own the competition or vice versa. That's the price of allowing companies from the USA to do business in Canada.
