Wow.
Riders over the Bombers and I watched the whole thing. Every minute of it and it was great.
Not a great game but a great event.
The stadium, the atmosphere and the great "little hole on the prairie city winning in the big town!" story-line.
This weekend I'll be Regina for a CBC show called The Debaters and I'm sure the town will still be buzzing.
The Grey Cup is usually a more offense-driven affair but It didn't disappoint. The Winnipeg QB Dinnwiddie starting his first CFL game, Kerry Joseph sucking in the first half and still a nail-biter at the end.
I wasn't that big on Lenny Kravitz screeching during halftime but that's what PVR's are for.
The real reason I watched and enjoyed this game so much had to do with my Dad. My father loved this team and I felt a weird sense of duty to support the Riders on his behalf.
I was a little choked-up at the end.
A great sporting event can do that for you.
