Just to catch up...

I'm directing a video Friday so I will be up and out at first light.
I'm hating the commute but loving the work. Sound familiar?
My pal Dave White made an excellent point the other night about how I'm just not used to the traffic nightmare that I face everyday. Most people my age, he said, would be more adjusted to the grind than I am. (I believe most people my age or any other age are more adjusted than I am period. )
He's right. I've been excempted from having to slug it out every day on the QEW/Gardiner roadway of nonsense.
Again, not complaining, just reporting. Okay maybe complaining a little bit.
Hey anyone know any good bathroom guys? I've got a leaky shower and the floor is rotting and the kitchen ceiling is leaking and I've got to have the whole shower stall replace and re-tiled.
Problem is I don't have a "Guy!" You know the Guy you call to do this type of stuff or at least he knows a Guy.
So if you have a bathroom/shower Guy that would be great.
We are hanging with two of my best mates this weekend. Dan D and Jeff L. We're all getting together with our wives for a grown-up dinner type party. Can't wait. The strange thing is this will be the third time including New Years that I've hung with Dan and only the first time since early December that I even seen Lumby. I guess that happens to everyone. The ebb and flow of freindship.
No matter. Minutes after we see each other we'll be laughing at the same stupid crap we have been for years. And our chicks still won't know why.
Saturday night I'm going over to the Boon Man's home for dinner. This is our first foray into the heart of the Mad Genius and it should be great. Mike has become a good pal of mine and he's got a sweet family as well. I just hope the Leafs don't have an off night and put MB into a funk. Wait a second that's all the Leafs have. He should be used to it by now.
So it's eating/drinking/driving kids to soccer(not after drinking of course!)/boarding/ and a 5 year olds birthday party. (My buddy Lou S's daughter is celebrating #5 with a skating party. Congrats Louis.)
