I'm working this week on a series of cat-training videos.
Yes I am and you can't stop me.
The amount of prep that goes into shooting cat-training videos would blow your mind.
Seriously.
Studio, sets, designers, cameras, sound-guy, make-up, catering, production-assistants all go into this huge production that will end up being 3-5 minutes videos of cat-training magic.
I love doing this stuff. The prep is interesting. "Hmmmm how should I frame the cat jumping through a hoop? What would Spielberg do?"
I especially like the shoot day.
I say, "Quiet on the set."
Then, "Roll camera!"
And "Action."
It's cool.
Later I say "Cut," but I like "Action" better.
The greatest thing about working on a set is the food. It's non-stop. Breakfast, snacks, lunch, snacks, break, snacks and then more snacks.
Snacks are the life-blood of the shoot and heaven forbid that everyone isn't stuffing their pie-holes for even a minute.
Every time I yell "Cut" I lose half the crew to eating.
I'll let you know when this epic will be available to view.
Maybe someday I'll get a call from Amblin.
"Is this Howard Glassman?" "Steven just loved what you did with the Cat training picture!"

That'swhy all the great directors end up with big guts, but what's with the bushy beards? Do you have one yet?

I not only have a bushy beard now but also a bushy tail.
And a big rolled up thing that I yell into.
