For no real good reason.
I was thinking of The Israelites by a group called Desmond Dekker and the Aces which is real old school...but catchy.
So I'm thinking of that tune when In the Year 2525 came to mind.
What the hell?
Have a listen to both of these 70's golden oldies.
First up Desmond Dekker.
And now Zager and Evans. Believe me this was huge.

Great finds HH, haven't heard the Isralelites in about 25 years.
How prophetic were Zager and Evans with picking your son and your daughter too from the bottom of a long glass tube?

I didn't discover Desmond Dekker until he passed away a couple of years ago.
"Israelites" is a great tune.

Thanks for taking me back to a much simpler time. It seems like yesterday that I was playing spin the bottle at my 8th grade graduation and Kim Larosa slipped me the tongue. I didnt know what was happening - but I knew I liked it and I knew I wanted more .....
