Lorraine Kimsa Theatre for Young People is a group that I volunteer with.
(Used to be called YPT. Ah now you know what I'm talking about!)
I've been on the board of directors for three year and I must say it's been an amazing experience.
The staff, the people and the work.
They do amazing theatre for young people and we're getting some nice press for a play about Meth addiction called Cranked.
This is from a recent article in the Globe and Mail.
As Cranked opens, Stan, a young hip-hop MC, is comparing the slow, lumbering zombies of old movies to the speedier ones of today's horror flicks. To him, the modern running undead seem more realistic: "When you crave flesh ... When it is the sole thing in the universe that you can focus on and you want it as bad as your next breath of air? Oh yeah, you will run."
LKTYP does plays for kids of all ages and obviously Cranked isn't for your 5 years-old. But it's perfect for your teen or soon to be.

Thank you.
