And the winner is...

Not Greg Norman. Again.

Oh well that was pretty excruciating to watch. But predictable.
First hole, nice drive, just slightly wonky second, blast from the bunker into a hurricane and then the putt. The putt that just grazes the edge. Could have easily have dropped and given some momentum, but no. The Golf Gods hate Greg Norman so it stayed out. And somehow you knew that was it.
Bogeys on hole 1, 2 and 3 and then it was off to the races.

I still dug it though. I actually yelled out loud at the TV several time during the morning/mid-afternoon.
"Great, yeah just lip out again Greg!"
"Sure, why wouldn't you hit driver into the crap. You go big boy!"
"No kidding you made bogey, that's what you do..."
And other such drivel. At one point Randee asked me if the guy I was talking to would like something to eat.
At any rate this was another Greg Normand missed opportunity. I don't care that he's 53, newly married, doesn't play much golf or that Paddy Harrington played out of his freaking skull. This was Greg's last and best chance. Once again he ripped out the guts of anyone who was pulling for him.
"Hey Greg, why don't you just rip out more of my guts!" I yelled.

Too bad. Now he just has to go hang out on one of his 2 yachts or 2 jets with his famous still sort of hot tennis-legend wife and see if he can't spend some of his nearly 500 million net worth, all the while being ruggedly handsome and in great shape.
Maybe that's the reason the Golf Gods hate Greg Norman.
