I was going to Stratford yesterday with the family and this was all over the news. While traveling westbound on the 401 we could see a line of cars in the eastbound lanes, that stretched on for miles because police were still on the scene of an apparent road-rage death.
You must have heard about it too.
A couple of guys, pissed off at each other, going back and forth and surely giving each other the fingers...escalated to a point where one idiot cut off the other and unfortunately the one guy flipped his vehicle and died.
What a stupid way to go.
Now one guy is dead and the other guys life if ruined and why? Because someone cut someone else off and now who gives a shit.
I used to get really mad at other drivers. We've all done it. Once I was cut off by a guy downtown and I drove halfway to Hamilton so I could give him the finger. Dumb.
Now I just don't care that much anymore.
Too bad these 2 poor bastards couldn't have gotten over whatever was pissing them off because one guy would still be alive and the other wouldn't be spending the foreseeable future in jail.
What a stupid, stupid way to die.

Not to negate what happened and thankfully the other driver was arrested last night. But had the gentleman that died been wearing his seat belt he most likely would have been hurt but alive.

Hopefully people will learn from this and just take it a little easier. I ride a motorcycle and see crap everyday that could ,if I was so inclned make me into a raging idiot too. Thankfuly I manage to control myself and let things go.

Not wearing a seatbelt/Just plain dumb.
Now, who do you blame for the accident and who do you blame for the death? Both were at fault for it to escalate things to a frenzy.

Sad, we get so pissed at the other driver we don't stop to think that hey, im going stupid fast down a main artery where lots of other people are going stupid fast and if I act like a jackass, I Could kill someone....guess they didn't stop and think and that someone was them.

To roll a 2-3 ton vehicle down the highway meant that this guy was going way too fast, and we all know that SUV's have the handling characteristics of a fat drunken uncle at a wedding trying to dance. Sad indeed for both families. I'm with Humble, I just wave the other guy on and let him have his little victory for the day.
