Okay in no particular order.
Merry Xmas. I mean that. I hope you got what you wanted from Santa and that you had a chance to relax with family and friends.
I did.
I got exactly what I wanted. Socks. I'm serious. I love cushy, comfortable socks and this year I got a crap load of them.
I also got some nice booze. I very much enjoyed this orange-fused Vodka that my pal Colleen Rusholme got me . It's gone now but it was satisfying and delicious.
The various Vaginas that I manage all seemed to enjoy the presents I gave them and that made me feel very festive indeed.
This year, as always I made the SantaMass bird and it was my yummiest to date. (Or so said the aforementioned VJ's!)
On Boxing Day we all went up North to Collingwood for 2 days of boarding and 2 days of sitting round waiting for the Rain storm to end not to be confused with the Gale-force winds that pretty much shut down most of the hills.
One day we all went to see the movie "Marley and Me" and bawled our frickin eyes out.
I kid you not. Me, my buddy Dave, his son and my girls and my wife, all of us just crying like babies. I promise you if you like dogs or sentimental dog-movies then bring lots of snot-rags.
Another day Randee and I went to see the Curious Case of Benjamin Button and a curious thing happened. Just as we had settled in to this amazing little Brad Pitt/Kate Blanchett flick, the power went out. Not just in the theatre but in all of Collingwood. Shit on a stick.
We had to "evacuate" (that's what the usher said...dude relax it's just a power failure.)
and we saw the other 2 hours that was left a couple night later. Excellent film and I say go see this when you want to watch something sweet and you've got 167 mintues to kill. (Long but doesn't feel like it.)
Finally tonight is our annual New Years Eve thing at our house. We've been doing this for nearly 15 years and it's a nice way to celebrate the beginning of another 365 days. We started this when our girls were babies and now the older one is off to a friends and the little one is far too grown up for me. We have a bunch of peeps for dinner and then we watch the tube at midnight, do the champagne thing and then by 1:30 or so it's all over.
So to all you nice people that drop by from time to time still...I would like to wish you all the very best and a healthy happy 2009!

All the best in '09
I do tune in from time to time... but between the music and commercials it can sometimes be a trying endeavor..
be Well!
