No sir you can't buy a snow blower...you are a

Douche-Nozzle!
We'll excuse me.
You see it snowed a bunch round here the last few days, case you hadn't noticed and I foolishly thought that I might be able to purchase a snow-blower.
After Friday's Snow-mageddon, I officially had enough of shoveling snow. As did my neighbor Bob. (I have three neighbor Bob's!)
Anyway, Bob and I both got fed up and decided to go halfsies on a machine. I was authorized by our newly formed company, complete with share-holders agreement(Thkis Bob a lawyer) and off I went the next day to Can Tire, Home Depot and Wal-Mart.

"I would like to purchase a snow-blowing machine, please," I said.
"Are you out of your mind?" Was the universal response. "We have no more left!"

Imagine expecting them to actually have them in stock after the biggest snow-fall this year.
I know I should have bought one sooner but don't you think they would have enough to sell in the two purchasing cycles?
Those are: 1) Before it snows and the smart people who think these things through and buy their F**king machines in October.
2) And the rest of us who finally say enough is enough I've shoveled my last driveway and I'm going to buy a snow-blower.

Apparently there are no provisions for guys like me who are motivated by a recent dumping of snow and run out to buy the thing in response.
Seriously they could have sold a thousand machines yesterday. Didn't anyone think about that...and forget about having to offer discounts I would have gladly paid full-price.
The funny thing is by the time they have any for sale again my snow-anger may have subsided and I may not want one.
For now I have to go shovel my driveway again and think about the machine I could have bought. Maybe I'll make snow-blower noises and pretend.

On another subject we did our EZ Morning Gift of XMas on Friday and it was amazing. Strange to be doing it without Fred after all these years and apparently he felt the same.
Have a look here.

Well, you might be able to blame MTD in Kitchener (yard machine). They closed the plant that made lawn mowers and snow blowers October 31 08, putting 240 people out of work. Maybe China can make them better than us. Harper gets another F as a leader. It's critical that government use the tools at their disposal instead of being passive in the face of what could become an economic avalanche of more bad news and even higher unemployment. People cannot feed their families on government excuses. We need government leadership and industrial policies that support local economies!

There, glad I passed that on and got that off my chest!

www.homedepot.ca - yeah I know what you're saying, "Home Depot doesn't have any!" and they won't be reordering, but their website does. Did the samething last year just before the big storm and it was delivered in 3 days!! I went to the DEPOT yesterday for a ()*&^$% shovel, because ours broke, look no shovels either - idiots.

Hey Michael, I broke both my shovels. (wood rotted at the bottom) I just drilled and dug out the wood in the insert and whittled down the end to fit. Tapped it in and shot a self tapping screw to hold it in place. Yeah, I'm cheap.

Hey, happy holidays peeps.

Hey Coach Coach
Oh we got caught in that last year! Now that we live in the real boones we need a snow blower. But when we went to get one you would have thought we were speaking a foreign language at the peeps in the stores! So in July we pre-ordered ours! Yes you read that correctly pre-ordered in July to make sure we got one this year. We got ours the end September. And I am telling you not to rub it in but to make sure you do what we did, the best July purchase we ever made!!
I hope you and your family have an amazing holiday! If you get a chance come on over to my blog and see my s-pine tree! It will be a holiday laugh
from me to you :o)

Hey H sorry for your luck there ha ha happens every year to someone .....now just go buy one and we can both laugh at Rob.
Merry Christmas to you and your family !
See you Saturday maybe...... If not than whenever.

Howard, I went throught the exact same thing down here. My response back was, We are in friggin Buffalo for god sakes. This wasn't at some mom and pop hardware store either, this was Home Depot, then to Lowes, NOTHING not a god damn friggin thing. Buffalo, NY the city that is the supposed snow capital of the world and these huge monster stores, ran out of snow blowers......So I hired a plow service for $30 a month.

Hey Humble, too bad you don't live in River Oaks, I did 9 neighbours driveways with my blower. Brings back memories of Freddies Snow Removal Machine Jingle!!

Good Luck in your quest, winter has just begun!!!

Howard I'm not sure if you got one yet but Lowes in Newmarket suposedly has them. And I know for sure they has 3 yesterday at the Canadian tire at Leslie and sheppard.
