I can't believe there are A) People this fucking stupid with TV jobs and B) People fucking stupid enough to watch and believe this stuff.
Sorry for the F-bombs but I'm really pissed off and I can't get over how ridiculous this little segment on Fox news was.
Not to mention how disrespectful and uninformed it proves the average American is. And by average I mean way below average/Douch-Nozzle.
We've had far too many Canadian soldiers die in Afghanistan for these ass-holes to be so idiotic and cavalier in relation to our military and it's commitment and sacrifice.
So watch it and just try and not get steamed.
(* ...of course when I say mostly stupid I don't mean Jon May and Buffalo Mike and other very not stupid Americans...)

I think we all need to know this was part of a bad comedy show that maybe reached 3,000 people when it aired.
I think the real joke is that we send men in arms into a hostile environment with gear that is not up to the task.
Most weekend hunters have better gear for the risk that they are taking than the Canadian Armed Forces get to use when the targets are shooting back.

Lou you are wrong. We may not have the absoute latest gear but it is very good. It's not gear failure causing our guys to die over there. When it's a straight fire fight our people don't die. It's the roadside bombs that are hurting them. There's not much that can stop that damage and the seem to be dam hard to spot.

I understand why Canadians are upset about this and I am not saying I agree with what the FOX people said.
But, keep in mind that it was comedy--INTENDED comedy anyway. And even if it was not funny, they were being deliberately inflammatory to elicit the reaction that you and others have.
I know from experience how NOT fun it is to hear people from other countries talk badly about your own, whether in jest or not.
So, take heart, my canuck friends and have no worries....Some of us are still loving you!!

Hmmm?...Ignorance is the world's greatest disease, and these individuals are obviously quite "sick". Not only are they ignorant on the issues, but the ignorance required to actually think this was funny/satire in the light of what the war in Afghanistan is like, let alone ANY war...OI!!
These Fox people have nothing to worry about us invading the USA...Why would we want to? "They tried to build the New Jerusalem, but ended up with New York" (Bruce Cockburn).
On the flip side...its kinda nice to see us Canadians show some passion for ourselves.
We are in a unique position in the world as Canadians... trusted, respected, admired, respectful to others and humble. But do not mistake our kindness for weakness.
(BTW: "toys" don't win wars, soldiers do, and Canada has some of the best in the world...because we don't have the toys.)
