Except if we'd have taken a group picture.
Dang it all. Yes I said "dang!" We had all of H+F pals and former work-mates and we didn't' get that great group shot that says, " Hey we were all here with these two old guys who we use to work with..."
Other than that it was pretty cool as you'll hear in the next few weeks when the actual Podcast goes up.
I admit that I was curious as to how it would all go and how we'd fill the time but it was a breeze.
Freddy and I fell into the old rhythm as though we'd been doing it forever, which of course we had. It was funny and at times poignant(Scary Pete's song) and bitter sweet. It made us both realize that doing that silly old show was one of the great experiences of our lives and it all went by too quickly and maybe we didn't appreciate it when we were doing it every day.
There was so much that I could relate but It'll make more sense when you hear it.
In no particular order here are some random thoughts.
-Dan Duran is one funny bastard and I'd forgotten how funny the "Tote Bag" bit was.
-Fred and I can still make each other laugh.
-All the guys that showed up Andy, Pete, Shwarma, Bingo, Lil Spanky, Nicki, Nick and Tyler really made this thing work.
-Boon is an official member of the H+F family.
-Seeing our kids and families watching us do the show made me nostalgic for the H+F Christmas shows at the Horseshoe.
-My soccer Dad buddies showed up and I'm glad they got to sample the Old Show.
-One of my current Radio Partners (I have 19) Colleen Rusholme was there and all my soccer Dad buddies thought she was hot. They are right. She's also a good shit and I was thrilled to have her in the crowd witnessing the nonsense.
-One of my best mates Lou Schizas showed support as always and told a great tale.
-My boss and friends from ACME pictures hung out and Ric R even videoed it for a companion to the Podcast. My freind Kelly E can really really drink.
All in all I loved it and was sad when it ended. FP can still bring it and it just seems a shame that we may never be able to assemble that feeling again.
No I don't know why we're not on the Radio somewhere, but sometime in the next few weeks the H+F Podcast of Memories will be availble for you to listen to and reminisce with.
I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Here's a bit of the fun with me and FP and Lil Spanky.

Great to see you and Fred together again. I completely forgot about the podcast until Saturday morning.
Thanks for hosting. It was a blast, Howard.

Humble,
It was a absolute joy, to watch it all happen on Saturday.
I agree with your soccer Dads that Coleen is hot, and she even learned what a Florch was, I guess that she wasn't really impressed with that.
I know that a monthly or even a bi-annual H&F podcast is impossible, but would you two please consider on making a annual H&F podcast.
Thank you for the Laughs, and I look forward to the finish product

Sorry we had to leave, Howard. The day sucked after that. But we wouldn't have missed the hour we stayed for the world. Holy smokes, what a great team you both were, and still are!

It goes without saying that morning radio has never been the same without you guys together.....I really do hope you guys get together to do one of these every so often,I have never laughed so hard during my morning commutes as I had done with the morning show. It feels like forever and it is still so missed!!
